Grolsch Lemon by MedeaMelana Grolsch Lemon by MedeaMelana
I wondered what lemon beer would taste like, so I bought some Grolsch. There’s no distinct lemon taste; I don’t know if that’s good or bad. I almost feel the beer is more watery than others.

Anyway, when the sun set yesterday I thought the setting sun’s rays would enhance the beer’s golden colour nicely. In this picture the sun is right behind the bottle’s label. I don't know how happy I am with the composition; it's all pretty centered. Then again I do like the background. I wonder what makes a good bokeh.

Alrighty. Have you ever had these: Hollandia, Bavaria, Three Horses, or Ketel One Vodka? Those are the Dutch things we carry at my bar.

I actually had a Bavaria this afternoon. =) I haven't had the other three. Should I give them a try? Not even sure if I can find them.

Well we're not able to get Three Horses anymore, but I imagine that as well as Hollandia are very similar to Bavaria. Ketel One is a pretty smooth vodka and pretty popular over here.

*gasps* I learned the other day that Bavaria is German. The horror!

But I just unlearned it again because although Bavaria is a place in Germany the beer is actually Dutch!

I'm afraid that's something typically American. =(

idk. . . I think you'd have to really look for it. . . when I was in Prague we drove by a Miller Light factory and that's totally an american beer, lol

Cool photo. Looks more like cream soda than beer, though.

I agree with the "good composition for an ad" comment. Like Absolute's brilliant campaign.

Is cream soda any good?

Um... I don't really like it. I used to, but then I drank a lot of it in a short period of time and I've never really cared that much for it since then. It's better than sparkling water, though, and it makes a somewhat believable beer-substitute in stage productions.

This is cool. :) It looks like it could be an advertizement for the beer, since it's centered, there's room for text and stuff like that. :D
